Writes Yuvraj J. (U6th)

There were no 鈥渢ooth-hurty鈥 appointments in sight as the Medicine and Dentistry Society turned the hour into a laugh-filled lesson with a dental twist! Taking a bite out of boring, Yuvraj kicked things off with a snappy introduction about the structure of teeth, how sneaky plaque builds up, and why brushing聽is the real superhero in our mouths.

Soon the real fun began. Armed with disclosure tablets聽(aka 鈥減laque detectors鈥), everyone got ready to see their teeth in a brand-new light鈥攐r should we say, a fabulous shade of purple? These magical tablets stained the stubborn plaque, showing us exactly where the culprits were lurking, especially after our tasty lunches. Suddenly, the room was full of grinning faces sporting the latest mouth-fashion: vibrant purple smiles! Not exactly the next trend, but certainly a photo-finish for the books.

With our teeth looking rather 鈥渞oyal,鈥 we tried brushing鈥攆irst without mirrors. Turns out, hitting all the right spots is trickier than expected when flying blind! Laughter echoed as some missed a patch here and there (no judgment鈥攕ome of us brushed our cheeks more than our teeth). When the mirrors came out, the game changed. Guided by our purple clues, everyone polished their pearly whites until even the last spot surrendered!

The session was a hit鈥攑art science, part toothbrushing, all fun. There were giggles about purple tongues and surprise at just how much plaque escaped the usual routine. Leaving with cleaner teeth, bigger smiles, and fresh bragging rights, it鈥檚 safe to say: the group really brushed up on their skills!
