There was cause for celebration at 西施直播’ today as pupils received an outstanding set of GCSE results. An impressive 43% of all grades were the top mark of a grade 9 (A**), the highest since the return of standard grading post-Covid. Grade 9 was the most common grade awarded to this cohort of pupils.
Overall, 71% of grades were awarded at grades 9-8 (previously A*) and 88% at 9-7 (previously A*-A).
Eight聽pupils聽achieved聽a full sweep of聽grade聽9s in all ten of their聽GCSE聽subjects, while聽76 pupils achieved eight or more聽grades at聽9-7.
Many departments聽enjoyed聽notable聽success. An impressive聽64% of聽Maths聽examinations聽were聽awarded聽a grade 9,聽with 99% of聽the year group聽achieving聽a 9-7.聽In聽the聽Sciences,聽Chemistry achieved聽55% grade 9s, Biology聽64% and Physics with聽56%. Greek聽returned聽54% grade 9s, while聽Latin saw 100% of grades at 9-7.聽RS achieved 47%聽at聽grade 9 and History 42%聽at聽grade 9.

Nicholas N. who achieved聽all聽9s and an 8聽said: 鈥淚f I could聽talk to my Year 9 self,聽I鈥檇聽tell聽them聽that if you work hard,聽it鈥檒l聽sort itself out.聽I鈥檓聽looking forward to Sixth Form and delving into聽my specialist聽subjects.鈥�
